Aluminium Bronze Bushes and Bearings from a UK manufacturer
Nickel aluminium bronze dominates bush, bearing and gear applications because it resists galling and seizure under high contact loads while keeping good fatigue and corrosion performance. Aerospace landing gear bushings are the most demanding example, and C63020 to AMS 4590 is the strongest wrought grade used for them, also serving as a proven substitute for beryllium copper.
Copper Alloys has a deep understanding of machining its own alloys. Buying finished components direct from the material producer is normally lower risk and more cost effective than buying bar and subcontracting the machining, because one organisation owns the metallurgy, the heat treatment and the finished dimensions.
Mechanical properties can be tailored beyond the minimum requirements of the specification where an application needs it, agreed in advance and recorded on the release documentation.
