What is CW307G?
CW307G (CuAl10Ni5Fe4) is the European EN designation for wrought nickel-aluminium bronze. It combines high strength, strong wear and fatigue performance and good seawater corrosion resistance, and is specified for bearings, bushings, valves, pump parts, propeller components and heat-exchanger hardware.
Should you specify CW307G?
Specify CW307G when the drawing, project or customer works to EN or DIN standards. It is the grade you will find called up across European marine, power-generation and industrial equipment, and it is supplied in the widest range of standard wrought forms.
Against C63000, its closest American counterpart, the properties are near-identical and the choice is a documentation decision rather than a metallurgical one. Against CA104 and BS B23 it is likewise closely equivalent, which makes CW307G the practical replacement when an older British designation is obsolete on a drawing.
Against DEF STAN 02-833, CW307G is the commercial rather than the defence route. It is quicker and cheaper to source for industrial work, but it does not carry naval acceptance, so do not offer it as a like-for-like on a defence order.
The trade-off is that broad EN composition limits allow more variation between suppliers than a tight defence specification does, so where fatigue or wear life is critical, buy against a test report rather than the standard alone.
Best for European industrial, marine and power equipment where EN or DIN documentation and wide form availability matter.

Overview
CW307G Aluminium Bronze (CuAl10Ni5Fe4) is a high-strength nickel-aluminium bronze alloy widely used in demanding engineering applications where exceptional wear resistance, corrosion performance and mechanical strength are required. Known for its ability to withstand heavy loads, shock and abrasive conditions, CW307G is commonly specified across aerospace, marine, power generation and industrial sectors. The addition of aluminium, nickel and iron enhances both strength and durability, while maintaining good toughness and resistance to seawater corrosion - making it an ideal choice for bearings, bushings, valves and pump parts operating in harsh environments.
Copper Alloys Ltd supplies CW307G from UK stock in bar, rod, forgings and machined components, with full material traceability. We can cut to size, tailor mechanical properties and deliver against EN, DIN and customer-specific documentation.
CW307G (CuAl10Ni5Fe4) is closely equivalent to CA104 and UNS C63000, with similar mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. It belongs to the nickel-aluminium bronze family, alongside alloys such as C63200 and C95500, which may be selected depending on specific strength, casting or wear requirements.
